Emu Unlimited

Emu Unlimited took advatange of April Fools Day and told everyone that Fox was leaving. I didn't think much of it when I heard the news but I appreciate that some people still have senses of humor. Here is their explanation:

Hahaha. Well sorry for that early April Fool's joke from yesterday. We had to get an early start since most people would have caught on had we pranked you today. Fox isn't leaving EmuUnlim and joining Retrogames and like I said before EmuUnlim isn't getting closed down. =)

Oh what sad times are these

Daves Classics is down. Appearently, there are some legal issues pertaining to the content of Daves Classics and UGO has been forced to take it down temporarily. I hope that it's back up soon. Here is the message from UGO on davesclassics.com:

Attention Dave's Classics Readers:

Due to recent legal action from a video game hardware manufacturer, UGO must temporarily suspend the service of the Dave's Classics website and FTP server. Unfortunately, until we have resolved this situation we may not be able to comment or update you on the situation.

We know that many of you depend on Dave's for the latest in retro-gaming and regret any inconvenience this may cause. We are working for a speedy resolution to this matter.

Some people are just immature

Yeah that's right. Believe it or not, there are immature people in this world. It just so happens you can get on EFNet and find them all. I guess not everyone there is immature, but the ones there that are make up for the rest of em. I was treated like crap for no reason, and I was badmouthed by meer children. Appearently some kids are still mad about some events that happened a few years ago. If these are the people that represent emulation I feel that emulation's future is not going to be good. This is exactly why authors ditch emulation. Good... Venting frustration feels good.

First Update

Page update for the first time in nearly a year maybe even longer. Lots of exciting things have happened in emulation over the last year like the releases of newer and better emulators such as UltraHLE and Bleem!.
